about

Lordcore tape 08 is a recording from 2016, which was found lurking on an old hard drive. It contained about an hour of a practice session from 2 Bristol-based skratchlords called Table Turnsmore and Symatic.
Most of the beats on side A of this tape were made on a phone, then recorded to 4-track cassette and live-mixed from there. The 2nd-to-last track is a loop from Thresh and Manipulate’s track “Strontium Sleazewave”, and the beat used for the 20-minute mega session on side B is by the time-travelling techno crab known as KRAYB DAVID.

The Lordcore Tapes series is a collection of raw recordings from improvised scratch sessions, project sketches and live performances by various Skratchlords and their affiliates.

Since 2017, these tapes have been made in batches of 10 and sent out with letters to encourage the recipient to listen to it and pass it on. These recordings are now available as a digital release.
